That moment when..

Post by 111 » Fri Sep 20, 2013 4:39 pm

Many of you have probably seen memes or other things that start with " That moment when" and finished with an expression that relays a feeling or experience either good or bad. so I thought I would tailor it to relate to motorcycles. Typically it would be things tHat only motorcycle riders can relate to. so I will start off and I am curious what other things you guys come up with.

That moment when...

The moment when you see a yellow flag, look ahead to see a guy ran out of gas ahead, think "that sucks", and at that same moment your fuel pump fails. You then coast up to the other guy until Dave wonder comes to pick you both up.

Yes, that happened to me today during session two. I was unable to ride for the remainder of the day.

The only time that I have ever run out of gas in my life (in any vehicle) was also at ECR. I was practicing on our EX250 endurance bike, and my team mate thought he had filled her up (but hadn't). She started sputtering on the back straight. I thought I could make it in, but she quit on me in T10. I had to hit the brakes to keep her from rolling backwards down the hill in T10...

The moment when...
You see a dozen turkeys on the side of the road and think it would be funny to hunk your horn at them to see what they do as you pass. They run and you look forward again and the road has decided to change its direction on you. Then you realize you have made a grave mistake! Yes this really happened to me and me and my beloved gsxr did a little off roading. Now I know better! lol

That moment when the cold air of a crisp, clear, one-day-after-a-rain September morning makes it's way through your layers of gear as you roll down the street on the way to work, and you take a sharp breath and realize it's great to be a rider.
