Riding, Camping Caving - hmu if you curious

Post by fixxervi6 » Sat Oct 12, 2019 10:35 am

Working out the details now but here is the gist:

* Scout a route and scout the park by bike, 3+ hours one way to Colorado bend state park
* book a future slot for the park and tour
* on the date haul down, camp, tour and crap, then haul back

I'll be hauling people so I'll be taking the school bus, so if anyone wants to moto it I can act as support vehicle, solo I'd totally take the GS

They do have group sites available

They book up fast and for a long ways out, my current booking:

March 6th 2020 (Friday)
* Drive down and setup (I have site 18 booked)
March 7th
* 3pm Adventure tour
March 8th sleep in, pull up and head out

I'll be doing some recon before this date

Do I follow correctly that you are planning to do a bike trip down and back to do some park recon well ahead of the March date?

Is this on road or off road? If on road I might be in for the scouting trip, depending on when.

I’m also interested in the on road recon trip and possibly the full trip as well.

Full trip is booking up fast, if it isn't booked up already that's why I put it so far out.

When I checked the forecast for this weekend earlier it looked like crap, so waiting for a little better weekend.

I'm hitting ouchita this month, then big bend in December, haven't filled in the rest of the boxes yet.
