good lord, that's overkill and I can't imagine that on backroads, it'd beat the hell out of you

I'd be curious as to the purpose to the conversion in this case. If there was one, or if it is just a vanity project. This was at Cresson on Saturday but I never saw the driver standing around by it. These are similar tires and wheels (3 piece) to those used on some military vehicles which have built in air compressor systems for adjusting tire pressure on the fly. I think that would help some with the rough roads. You probably just wouldn't want to go very fast over rough terrain. The added lift height doesn't seem to be crazy since a lot of the height is just from the tires, but they did cut fenders to make room.
