Ok so Allstate is asking for proof that I've been riding Atleast 5 years.. Wtf? I've had a bike license in TX since I moved back here in 05 and I had a Tennessee bike license for 11 years before that... Isn't license history sufficient? I never would have thought I would need to prove that

What sort of proof are they asking for. Out side of speeding tickets, and accident reports there's no official record of me actually riding andn I sure as hell wouldn't tell an insurance agent about any speeding tickets or accidents that they don't already know about.

Did you keep any of your annual registration renewal receipts? Maybe that will suffice.

I've got no tickets or accident history, had a license since I was 14...

The AMA was able to look up my old membership information showing I was a member from 92 to 95... When I was 16 dad stopped paying my annual dues... He said he thinks that will be sufficient.

I don't have any old registrations from the bikes I had in my name... And not sure the one in my ex's name would help and my current bike is in my current wife's name. I did find a copy of the bill of sale from my last zx7 in my email... But most of the bikes I had were track... So I either never registered or titled them cus they weren't on the street

I think I need to shop my bike insurance. I've got 0 tickets & 0 wrecks on record, perfect credit, and enough riding experience. There is no reason I should be paying the same amount monthly on my 6 year old bike for full coverage, as I am on my brand new truck.

Who has good agents in the area? You want to pass along their info? Thanks!

Get married, seriously.

Here is how I get cheap motorcycle insurance:

Bundle house, auto, and motorcycle.

Purchase a 750, 600, and 250.

Insure all 3 bikes and arrange "primary" riders like so:

Wife - 750
Kid - 600
Evil man - 250

Yes, how stupid is that, it is MUCH cheaper to insure a 16 yo girl on a 600 than a man on a 250, with good credit and clean record.

All 3 of us are insured on all 3 bikes but they have to list a "primary" driver

Sign up for AMA
Tell them about MSF

$375 per year for all 3 riders all 3 bikes

Seriously, I don't get it. I'm in the 800 club on credit, 0 wrecks, 0 tickets, 0 anything negative whatsoever. Quote through Progressive for full coverage, fairly low limits with everything, and they are wanting a hair under 3,000/year. I think they must assume a 2013 GSXR-750 costs as much as a Desmosedici RR or something.

I did some insurance shopping this week after hearing about some other RSV4 riders getting lower premiums. But it turns out part of the reason Dairyland charges a little more ($160/month) is that they never flinch at paying out for track incidents. An insurance broker friend said for the amount of time my bike is/will be on the track I'd be crazy to go with anyone else. And a friend who tossed his 675R at ECR's turn 2 had very favourable things to say about them.

I'm paying roughly $70 through State Farm, but my 6-mo policy is set to renew next month and I'm cringing as I know they LOVE to jack up their rates. Good news is I added renter's insurance for when I move to an apartment in Oct, which made it a multi-line discount. When it's all said and done they are paying me $3 a month to add renter's insurance :-)

I have State Farm and I'm paying just over $80/mo. I do have one accident on my record, though. State Farm is still the cheapest, though.

Yeah, but they were gonna drop me like a bad habit right after I got a policy with them unless I rolled my cars into them. Grrrr. But still cheaper to pay more for cars and have the bike than it would have to keep the cars with Progressive and get separate motorcycle insurance. Dairyland wanted $200/mo.

Firewall, I'm with you. Last I pulled my credit (when I bought my truck) I was at a 790, I have zero accidents, zero tickets, and I'm paying $105 a month for full coverage on the 675. It's rediculous. My truck insurance is an even $100 a month full coverage. It's worth 3 times the cost of my bike new, and is a daily driver not a recreational vehicle. How is it insurance on a recreational vehicle cost more than a daily driver that is worth 6 times as much?

That's jacked. and I've got the PIP as well. My agent wouldn't insure my bike without it.

Would it make you mad if originally I told you it was 76, but they raised it after a year

Where you live and how far you drive for work has a lot to do with setting your rates as well as size and type of bike. And, don't forget about age and marital status.

If you're paying 120/mth that's more than the r1 at full coverage.

What you pay has a lot more to do with you than the bike you ride.

For example I get a really steep discount from Progressive for being a RiderCoach. Doesn't matter what bike I'm on, the discount applies.
