Bell Star Carbon Race Day helmet & transition shield.

Post by LonestarCBR » Mon Apr 04, 2016 12:03 pm

I bought a Bell Star Carbon Race Day helmet and Bell-brand transition shield almost a year ago.

I've had it on my head twice...used it one day to and from work...a grand total of 3 miles round trip. Otherwise it's still in the box.

The transition shield is still in the original wrapper.

Why am I selling? This was an outstanding deal on an outstanding helmet/shield combination and I just thought they were way cool. But I've been pretty vocal about being an Arai guy exclusively, and I am truth be told. There is nothing at all wrong with the helmet, or the brand as everyone knows. It basically means my loss is your gain. $700 original, I paid $340 for the helmet new on close-out, and another $120 for the shield. I'll sell them both for $400...half-price for each.

Link touting my purchase.

Being that he is a plant manager and they usually have big heads I am willing to bet it is a XXL. :SideSplittingLaughter: :SideSplittingLaughter: :SideSplittingLaughter:

Sorry, MEDIUM, below is the Bell sizing chart. Fits size-wise about the same as the premium Arai and Shoei helmets I've tried, where I also wear a medium. Not sure about everyone, but I buy them VERY snug and let them break in. I'm basically biting my inner cheeks when they are new.

And big head, for big brain. Don't be a hater...and get back to work dammit.

That was funny however...and occasionally true.

Got ya. I will try to see about the size I believe I wear a medium in my Star Carbon. Then I will see about putting money together. To anyone thinking about it.... do it .... the helmet is a great one.

I'm considering it. Getting to the point where I need a new lid. I'll be up there for the next track day.

I've now listed it on eBay. This might allow anyone interested to pay via CC or PayPal if that is of interest. It also has a Make Offer listing, it's priced a little higher on eBay than above...so if interested, make an offer. Again, price above was $400 for club members, so that amount is already on the table. And I'll hand deliver it to a club member. This deal just keeps getting sweeter.
