They are marketed as "crash bars". Stunters use them a lot, but as far as I know it's just for crash protection.

That's all stunt cages are, beefed up crash protection. Any time I see a cage and rear foot pegs like what is on that bike, that screams stunter to me.

Yes it is a stunt setup as far as the cage and pegs.... I would love to have one. Of course I don't think its a great marketing idea because not many stunt guys/gals want a new bike to throw on the ground. But I guess there are some rich ones.
