Hi there

Post by Coolwipp » Mon Feb 23, 2015 8:11 am

Hello All,

Lindsay here. Ben and I had great time last Saturday. Thank you all for making me feel so welcome and comfortable on my first group ride.

I have been riding just shy of 3 years, commuting to work mostly. When Ben and I first starting dating he took me out on his bike, my reaction was 'this is awesome but sitting on the back sucks, I want my own'. I ride a CBR 250. I love scooting around on the little thing, it`s super forgiving and has been great to learn on.

I am a customer service supervisor for a national payroll / hr company. When I am not working or riding I love hanging out a home with my husband and dogs, sitting on the patio with a glass of wine and the grill going.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Lindsay

Welcome Lindsay!!!! So glad you had a great first group ride experience! You will have plenty more coming too now that it will (hopefully) be warming back up; after this sleet and ice stint, of course ;) Looking forward to riding with you sometime soon and meeting you at a bike night!! Keep Smiling!! ^_^

Welcome again, enjoyed the ride Saturday. I love the "motorcycle parked outside of the psychiatrists office" quote. So, so true. Sorry for misspelling your name earlier.

Nice job of taking the CBR250 first step.

Thanks everybody.

BD, super excited to get more miles under my belt and get to ride with some ladies while I am at it.

Thanks Miles, one benefit of marrying someone with a fun last name.

Welcome to the boards, Lindsay. When my husband bought his first motorcycle about 5 years ago, he wanted me to ride on the back. I did but didn't enjoy it so we went and bought a Ninja 250. A few years later, I upgraded to a GSXR 600 but that bike gave me no confidence at all so when my hubby bought his Aprilia, I got his GSXR 750 (my 17 year old daughter got the GSXR 600, and my 16 year old daughter wants to learn to ride the 250). Thanks to my husband, we all ride (my 8 year old son has a 50 cc dirt bike). I love riding when I get time (I am working on my PhD in biology and a den leader for cub scouts. I have my qualifying exams next summer so I am not going to have a lot of time for fun things until I hopefully pass those damn exams).

We do have several ladies that ride (Valentina, BD, Monster..my 17 year old) and now you. Hopefully we will continue to get more lady riders!!! Once the weather warms up, I can lead a ladies only ride (maybe one of the guys can lead a ride and we can meet them for lunch).
Chance favors the prepared mind.

Speaking of board names Miles...if you're going to use your real name, you at least need to do something cool with it like Will or James. I'm just sayin...

He could be a dick and change it to "FiveHundredMiles" to get that song stuck in everybody's head.
