MSRC Guest Day Oct 15 2011

Post by Rhino » Mon Oct 10, 2011 12:19 pm

As mentioned by PinkFiddy here:

http://fwmr.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6230

I'm thinking about signing up for this weekend instead of doing the camping trip I had originally planned. Anybody else interested in going?

It's this Saturday, cost is $150 + tax.

I'm somewhat interested, but that would mean i wouldn't go on the 5th. Plust 150 seems a bit high

Actually, $150 is a pretty good price. RS is much cheaper then other TDs and open tracks. Lone Star is usually pretty close to RS prices but any other school/trackday you're looking closer to the $200 range. And I expect the track will be rather empty.

Yeah, I paid $140 for RS. It's only like another $22 to do the guest day, to ride with way fewer people on the track and no class.

If you want the class you should definitely skip this one.

As for who runs, it's going to be open sessions. They don't do beginner / intermediate / advanced like RideSmart does. It's a member day, so you're running with whoever else shows up, whether they're beginner pace or a CMRA racer doing practice laps.

Nope, I've shown up to MSRC on member days and you can ride straight up to the bleachers or the building where RS does class and just watch.

Well i guess i'm going to wait this time. I want the classroom time right now and i would rather have more friends to ride with, but this sounds like a good thing for the future. If i'm not doing anything saturday i'll ride out there

I'll be out riding Saturday morning with Valentina. If a ride leader doesn't post a ride, and she want's we may ride out there.
