Grinner has decided he is going to go for sure in Sept. and I'll probably be signing up in the next week or so. Anyone else ready to commit to going?

Nice to know he's still alive and riding.

Head out, ride sat and sun, head back?

Hotel/camping/trailering situation?

I can't commit today, but should be able to by the end of the month if I can make the whole package work.

I have a time share near Tyler that we can stay at for free Thursday night so my plan would be to head out Thursday after work. It's only about a 3 hour drive so leave around 7 or so and miss the worse of rush hour. Then get up Friday at a comfortable time and finish the 8 hour drive to Barber. Ride the track Saturday and Sunday then head back Monday.

Will and I did this a couple of years ago and it made the drive Friday much more enjoyable and we avoided all rush hour traffic.

Grinner has a trailer but my truck can only seat 2 so we'd either need a larger truck, or a second car. I figure gas cost for my truck with trailer will be around $300. We'll probably stay at the Hampton Inn right outside the track, their rooms are usually around $100 a night.

Ok. I *might* have a crew cab 1500 by then.

Let me know how the rest of the month goes and I'll let you know. I really want to go, just gotta make sure I can swing the time off and away from the family.

I am a maybe for this. If I do go I have a trailer but its not big. I also have the Sequoia and it seats 8 but 6 would be very comfy. I have to see how things go before I give you a sure answer. If I do not go and you want to use the Sequoia then that would be fine as well.

I just registered for the Sept. 5th and 6th Barber TD hosted by Sportbike Track Time, in the intermediate level.
