I'm surprised how much those forks move for how smooth that pavement looks.

You notice that the front wheel was off the ground right before he leaned it in?

I believe the suspension movement is not from bumps but from the front tire sliding and catching.

Notice his head movement, and outside hand? the knee as it approaches the ground?

What I see is he's looking well through the corner, and of course a very light grip, letting the bike and tires do their thing.

I never have the sense that the fork flex is due to traction on the ragged edge, but maybe so. I have the sense that it is such a finely tuned machine that it detects and reacts to the slightest imperfections in the road surface.

As for the knee...I'm not sure. To me the knee appears to be a very finely tuned lean-angle sensor...honed by repetition...and again, very relaxed.
