Does anyone know a good store, or website, to get the lower fairings for a 2006 SV1000? I've looked around on the web and I'm not sure I trust the site that is selling a full set for $350, and the "OEM" from Oneida show to be nearly $800. Any help would be appreciated...I don't mind pre-owned, even if I have to paint, for the right price. You can see below the "naked" part I'm wanting to cover.

Oneida is selling them for that price because they are discontinue and they have the only new old stock left on the internet. Before they were discontinued they were selling them for half that. It's price gouging at its finest. Good luck finding them. Btw if anyone tells you the 650 lowers will fit on your 1000 they are wrong. The mount point are not the same.

Thanks, Nitzer...I kept reading that the 650 would fit the 1000, but I was skeptical.

I know because a guy sold me an OEM set of fairings a couple years back and the ebay ad said fits both. Of course I have 650. The fairings were for the 1000. They did not fit at all so back on ebay they went.

I've been burned from EBay sellers in the past, so it's hard for me to buy stuff from there.
I'll find some eventually at a reasonable price...until then,I don't mind riding have naked!
