I just signed up for Sunday on the 1.3. Thought it was a better fit to retire the 500 from track duty, as this will probably be it’s last track day. I’m going out Saturday night to my parents. If y’all really camp out I may stop by and hang for a bit.

I will be there Monday for the 1.7. I can’t make it out Sunday to camp, but I will be there first thing Monday morning. Jeff, L2?

I thought about it, but really, given what I need to work on, I went with level 1.

I was reading the email that ride smart sends out before each track day and it looks like there won't be any tire support this weekend? That changes things a little for me, hope it doesn't mess you guys up.

Yeah, no tires or suspension apparently. Not a big deal for me this time.

I'm just going to swap out the rear tire even though it still has some tread. I would hate to ride Sunday and come Monday morning not pass tech for marginal tread depth. Are you going to set up Saturday night? I hope to have my crap together so I can leave the bike down there so I can have more coffee time Sunday morning.

What time might y'all get there? I'm going to leave mine up there Saturday night on the way to my parents and I'll have Amy drop me Sunday morning.

Perhaps all the good advice about cold track and tires helped. It seemed most if not all of the bikes going down occurred in the afternoon. I did not have a single slip the entire day(knock on rubber) but then again up until today I have been a level 1 rider.

You forgot the two bikes that went down during tech.

Cold hard tires, coupled to cold pavement and too much enthusiasm with the throttle, I’m guessing big power also, and out goes the rear. They had everyone on guard for the first couple of sessions.

What an awesome day it turned out to be. A little cold in the morning, but I had no issues at all. I’m really starting to like the 1.3, it has a nice rhythm and flow to it.

Oops, ya I did forget about the two bikes that went down during tech. Maybe I just refuse to believe it even though we saw it happen! omg

Well today was not my funnest day, but It could have been worse. I now know if I leave my key on for 25 minutes that my new battery will be dead. I can check the achievement box for jump-starting a motorcycle and thanks to leaky fork seals I had my shortest track day to date. The 3 sessions and 50 miles I got in were great and until Victor gets on this forum I can complain a little.

I put a GoPro on the back of Justin’s bike and got some sweet footage. That is a bummer about your fork seals Shane. ImageImageImageImage

Nice footage! You must have sore knees? Usually not something to brag about, but this is different. Is that the same BMW that went sky, ground, sky, ground...?
