I want to get in some track time at ERC before the CMRA event there at the end of the month, so I am going to be signing up for Sunday. I would like to do Ty's class, but seeing as how the CMRA event is the following weekend, I have a feeling it is going to be full. I wanna get in when it is small, so I get more one on one.

I am undecided on level. I like four because it is empty and I can do my own thing without running up on people, but I like two because everyone else is running in it and I am slow.

I'll probably sign up for two and feel out Ty's class early in the morning. If it is small, I'll pass em $50 more and move up to 3/4.

I think Darc Shadow and Meat of Snail are both running 4, at least for the first half of the day

This is gonna be fun! I'll bring shade, electricity, tools and beer for saturday night. We gonna have the club ez-up there as well? We can attach it and mine together for a big one again.

Cool, I think he has those too.

On a different note, I just noticed ECR's track now shows up on google's sat view, it's just the ruff dirt path they started with. Interesting there are a few extra turns that I don't remember.

Yeah, that was the first plan that they revised a few times to make it what it is today...

It's ashame they lost some of those extra turns, looks like it would of made the track all that more interesting. But I'm sure there was some good reasoning behind it all. Then again, maybe not. HA!

this should be interesting, just saw and email from a cruiser group here at LM. Apparently RideSmart is trying to get cruiser guys to the track. Ok, I'm cool with that, however they are doing it April 25th! I'm all for sharing the track and enjoying the day but I don't think mixing sport bikes and cruisers on the track is going to work out very well.
Robert, The Original Show-Off has made the deal with the owner of RideSmart and you are not gonna believe the deal it is. RideSmart is more closely associated with SportBike training and track time but they are looking to share the expertise of driving on Highway conditions in the safe environment of a closed track with us Cruiser types. The day of training and track time typically costs $120 but Robert has arranged us to have the deal at HALF PRICE!!! That's not all, we will each get free rental of a Racing Suit (required to run on the track), a free copy of the day's riding DVD video, and a RideSmart T-shirt customized with our Cowtown Flyers Logo large on the back. In addition, there will be a drawing amongst us, the winner of which will get the day for FREE!. You think they want our business?!?

RideSmart will issue individual coupons to all who signup so that when you register and pay on their website, you will get the half price rate. The date set for the ride day is Sunday, 25APR10 so it's right around the corner. Deadline to signup is this Sunday, 18SEP10. Robert will turn in the list and get everyone's coupon by the next day so that you can begin registering. This will be a day you definitely do NOT want to miss! You can get more info at the RideSmart website here: http://www.ridesmart.info" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or at Robert's post on the forum here: http://seward.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=646" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; There is some pre-ride preparation, so read the forum post or the specifics on the website carefully.

Eh, there's no reason that a cruiser can't keep up a decent L1 pace. I'm sure they won't be going fast, but they probably won't be holding anybody up too badly. And even if they are parking it in the corners, it should be really easy to get by them on the straights! :-) Good for them for getting out there... just because sportbikes can take the most advantage out of what is taught at RS, doesn't mean that it's not applicable and useful to cruiser riders, too.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I think it's great that they are getting out there. I was just picturing 15 or 20 cruisers out on the track, could be a bit of an issue.

I think it will be fine, and more then likely all of the cruisers will stay in level one, and not affect very many of our riders anyway.

As long as they stay in level 1.
