Alum, debating hitting it with a spray coat to seal it... undecided.

I would and then i would buy a decal to put on it.....i know a guy who makes great decals

I used sheet metal (the kind that has a oily film on it) to build a bracket in the past, and it got a light sheen of rust after the first washing. Not sure if aluminum will do that or not.

Eventually it will oxidize and get a light white coating on it, I would just paint it black.
