Fort Worth Motorcycle Riders

Anyone install one of these Yoshi slip-ons before ? I'm thinking of installing mine today but not sure of my abilities to do this as I have never installed one before. I had one on the last 250 but dealer installed for me. I checked with the guys at Cycle Werkz and they are swampted for the next two weeks. Anyone out there have some free time today to help out ?

I'm working all today or i would stop by, but...isn't it a "slip-on"? Just take the bracket off that holds it and the "spring clips" that connect it to the headers/midpipe, then pull off. Next take the new one and put it on and reverse the steps. Or is it much more complex than that?

The only thing I'm worried about is it has one step where I have to drill a 3/8" hole to insert a rivet. This thing is just too expensive to fuck up if you know what I mean.

I'm working today so I can't help ya, I do have a drill and a rivet thingy.

I also have an electric impact wrench to break more stuff with now too.

Now that all his bikes are broken...he's looking for other people's bikes to break now...LOL

well, I was able to do it finally. Pipe is on. I still need to drill a hole and install 1 rivet. I may have tightened the clamp for the exhaust a little tight, anyone see any issue with this, do I need to get a new clamp ?

Looks good. What exactly are they wanting you to rivet. May not actually need to.

Instructions call for me to put a rivet(included), underneigth the clamp to keep pip from turning

With it's oval/triangle shape and the bracket being the same i would say you probably would be ok not doing that(i wouldn't). Then again don't get mad when you lose it on the highway

Your back clamp should keep it from turning. Probably don't need the rivet. I'd check some kawi forums to see what people have said about using/not using the rivet.

Yea i just can't see drilling into something when there is really no need. If it's clamped good i wouldn't even worry about it

I found out when the dealer installed the same pipe on my old 250( the stolen one), they didn't install the baffle. Makes a big difference and I notice it's not backfiring with the baffle in. In the log run I want to have Cycle Werkz install the jet kit in the bike and dyno it an all but for the moment it looks ok

I did the washer mod, it's not the same as a jet kit but it's effective and stupid cheap
