Re: MSRC 1.3 June 13-14
I have 2 credits from last season. When they do the 1.7, and it’s not blazing, I know your up for it, I may see you.

3:16 MSRC 6-7
Since Jeff posted, I thought I would add, that active military can ride COTA no cost July something, around the 4th or on, please check and if you know someone... I rode today using my credit from last year. 3:16 had a mentor, 2 others and me. Really no other interaction. I was good with that. The f...

Re: Eleven Motorsports
https://elevenms.com/ This place will take care of your track bike for you, including storage between events, or you can rent a bike from their fleet. For away events they will transport your bike. Haven't heard of them before. They don't seem to list membership rates. They are having an open house...

Re: 3:16 TrackDays MSRC 1.3 Sept 2nd
I was there riding. Were you on a corner? On that day they ran the 1 hour sessions. It wasn't as bad as I had feared. You go out for 15 or 20 minutes, take a 5 or 10 minute brake, go out again. You don't feel like you need to be out there at the start of the session, waiting in the sun with the oth...

Re: Kawasaki Demo at FPS FW 8/30-31
I could see trying the ZX-6R, but I think the pace of the ride would be so slow that it wouldn't even be comfortable, much less useful for getting a feel for the bike. No, you can totally get an idea of how unsuited it is for short slow in town trips. Unless you’re 25 of course. I’ll be there Frida...

Re: MiniGP rambling
I did finish and ended up selling it for $2400. It was an insane build. I rode it around parking lots quite a bit and took it to one race in Denton the week before I moved. Since it was the first time out on the track they gave me 30min out there alone. The bike was awesome! It need a slight adjust...

Re: MiniGP rambling
Have you looked into the Texas minimoto go? This bikes you are talking about are wayyyy too big for the tracks they race on. Their website has what classes you can run and sizes. For example I built a purpose built ttr125(build thread on here). If I had to do it over again I’d probably go with a kx...

Re: MiniGP rambling
Matt, I'm sure you've seen the Motobros on their built Groms rip up the 1.3, passing people on the outside through turns. I think I saw a company out there that builds a 235cc conversion kit. Maybe that's what you need. I think the weakness on all the 300cc class bikes is the suspension. If you wan...

MiniGP rambling
Ever since I started riding track, and then thought I was pretty good at it, I've wonder how well I would hold up in a race situation. At COTA, some team had a display of a couple of Ohvale mini gp motorcycles and they were pretty cool and cheap as it gets. So I was thinking it would be fun thing to...

RS MSRC July 20(1.7CCW)/ July 21(1.7CW)
I'm working the 20th and I've always wanted to do the CW 1.7 to even up the tires up. So, if it's not super hot out, I'm going to try to ride the 21st.

I'll be working the next local 3:16 day, at Cresson, on Labor Day the 2nd. They have switched to 30 min sessions if it's hot out.

As long as they take partial credit I would. With the low availability of a makeup day at Cresson, that may be more of the norm anyway. The surface is going, so the sooner the better.Tooner wrote:Matt that sounds totally fun. So was this a one and done thing, or will you do COTA again?

Re: COTA May 25-26
I guess that number of people would be equivalent to 30 on the 1.7 at Cresson if people were spread out evenly. Matt, do you know how many they usually book for Cresson? But if Cresson is any indication people are not going to stay spread out evenly, and it is a long way to get to the pits to pull ...

Re: COTA May 25-26
It went well, another successful day. Let’s see: there was a full on Harley bagger and 54 other sorts of sport bikes, so that was new, kind of like a Grom in level 2. 55 riders in level one. So sit and bake to be up front or lose 15% of each session as 60 rides and staff start in front of you, the c...

Re: Makeup Makeup day MSRC 1.3 Monday April 29 2019
How did it go? It went well. 50 drops of rain total. It was low 80’s and plenty of humidity, but not bad at all. Good grip. Couple of minor falls in 2, one in level 1. Turn out was really light I thought for a sell out. There were maybe 20 in level 1.5. Shane and Justin were there and a good time w...

Just in case it’s filling fast now. Normally we can’t use credits to Cota, but since that March date had no makeup we can. I am signed up for level 1 Sunday.
