FS: 2004 FZ6

Hey guys, I decided I wanted either another SV or possibly a 250R for track purposes only, so I'm going to be selling the FZ6 and pretty much giving up on street riding. I have it listed VERY reasonably on craigslist, but naturally craigslist attracts scum wanting me to ship it to india or "oce...

Re: Q2's - maybe for sale

Have owned the harbor freight unit, I have to agree with DarcShadow... Breaking the bead is the only part of changing our sized tires that is worth spending money on to make more convenient. Personally, I now just sit my tire on a 2x4 and drive over the bead with my car. I then proceed to swap tires...

Re: Q2's - maybe for sale

Hey guys! I know I haven't been here in a while, but I saw blizz at school last week and it inspired me to set aside the books for a bit and check up on all my forums! I have mounted my last 2 sets using a $20 set of tire spoons and RuGlyde from Napa and then getting Cycle Gear to balance them (whic...

Re: DFW bike crash

It does sound a bit like the guy was harassing the car prior to the incident and vice versa, but that car was not paying attention at all and the accident still would have taken place even if the bike weren't in the gap. The biker is definitely lucky. The car driver should have been more than ticket...

Re: loosing traction I think

I have an FZ6, which has roughly the same power numbers and weight. I'm much lighter than you and am running on some pretty hard touring tires, and I'll be darned if I can get the rear to spin up without chopping the throttle. If I'm on it hard in first at the top of the power band, the front comes ...

Sweet. I love New Enough, specially since they are located so close to us! Sales tax always sucks though compared to other retailers.

Good luck with healing up!

Re: Bremzen and REF brake pads.

Good job going with EBC! I'm not saying it is or isn't an issue with those manufacturers you mentioned, but in the car world, it isn't completely uncommon for cheap pads to literally separate themselves from their backing. Bikes have a lot less force involved, making that highly unlikely, but it is ...

Re: Squid pack

I don't feel like typing the whole story here, and I believe i've told it before, but on my way home from the International Motorcycle Show in dallas last year I had a small group of "stunters" on I-20 westbound nearly push me to the point that I wanted to hit them with my car, and I can h...

(*note: heavy sarcasm to follow)Only lost a day of memory! What a light weight! I lost 2 and a half weeks and was going about 100mph LESS then he was. His Arai lid must of been better then my arai lid. I had a broken nose, fractured orbital socket, and minor skull fracture and the doctors all said ...

Re: Helmet Damage...in weatherford

The best part is how the guy used to be a paramedic and has seen first hand the aftermath of high speed motorcycle accidents, yet all he got out of it was "buy a good helmet" and still ran around on major interstates in populated areas going 140mph... But yes, that's a nice hit to the helm...

Re: 2006 Suzuki GSX-R750 Race-Ready - $4000

Ideally I would like a prepped SV650 with a spring/emulator front end, penske/elka rear and R6 brakes. I'm just partial to the SV for some reason. I had too much to learn to get my head back above water and trying to fight my way up the learning curve on a 750 would have been bad... :-) Hell, it was...

You having any luck with buyers? Every time I look at this I get the urge give up street riding. I could sell the FZ and buy this from you and use the money i'd be saving on insurance to do trackdays! :-) I am definitely going to buy something pre-prepped like this though when it's time for another ...

Re: XBOX vs PS3

I have a PS3, but I think both are equally competitive. I originally liked PS3 because you got more for your money (bluetooth, wifi, blu-ray, HDMI, free online) and I had tons of PS2 games. Just look at the games for each and pick the console with the most games that interest you. I've never played ...

I had a close call in the car today.... I could have ran a marathon after that one I tell ya. Your car story reminds me of the first big accident I ever had.... Anyone remember the ice escapade we had here in the metroplex back in early 2008? I was in Carrollton with my girlfriend at her mom's hous...
