Re: Stolen bike alert

Depending on what Geico gives me it could be a blessing in disguise. The mileage was getting up there. When I sold my RR the plan was to buy a newer low mile bike for the street and get some Sharkskins for the 750. Now I think I'll just pay cash for a new bike when I get my settlement and worry abou...

Stolen bike alert

Yesterday between @ 3:30-5:00pm someone stole my 750 straight out of my garage. To make it short, because of the time and manner in which it was taken I believe I know who may have done it. A former neighbor who I caught trying to shoplift at the store a couple of weeks ago. I will say he goes to th...

Out of bike experience

Okay this was really bizarre. Yesterday morning I took off on a ride. I was going to go down and hit Lone Star road south of Mansfield, head down to Maypearl then ride east to Hillsboro and hit some roads in that area. So, I leave Euless on West 183, head south on 820, a quick left on I20 then merge...

Re: MSRC May 12

Yesterday was good. Not a lot of riders which was fine with me so they combined advanced and intermediate and ran 30 minute sessions. It was well controlled and safe, I got a talking to for inside passing and another got black flagged  FREE t shirt, water and there was a trailer that sold food...

Re: Seven-Zero-Seven Helmets?

DOT does not test the chin bar of full face helmets. The weight of a riders head has great significance on impact force. Snell 2005 and earlier had the same impact testing for all shell sizes, ECE (and DOT) has graduated weight testing. That's why ECE was better. Snell 2010 has supposedly gone to gr...

Dainese T Avro Div two piece sz40/50

Okay this is the last suit I'm selling. Went with a one piece one size up. I wore this suit on three track days and a couple of short street rides. Knee pucks are good :D $600. Ad is also on CL. FWMR members will get an unopened Dainese clean and protection kit. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i23...

Re: ECR - March

I did lvl 2 for the first time today, it was time to move up for sure. My instructor said I looked fine I'd say was probably a middle of the pack rider. I'm just trying to pick up corner speed now and I think my suspension needs tweaked. I'd try to follow a faster rider and had to back off because t...

Re: Any place local I could buy a ZERO Gravity Windscreen ?

You'll be lucky to find a place that has one in stock for that bike. You can go to Cycle Gear and order one. $89.95 plus tax. If it's in the Ft. Worth Tucker Rocky warehouse you can have it in one business day which would be Tuesday if you order this weekend.

Re: March 2nd and 3rd

I've never done a regular open track day at ECR. Can you pay at the track? I won't decide until this afternoon if I want to go. Looks like it will be cold the AM, don't know about that with no tire warmers.

Re: Knee pain with suit

I forgot about this thread but I ended up buying a Dainese Laguna Seca Pro Estiva one piece. I went one size up to a 42. It probably fits as well or better than the 40. After it breaks in hopefully it will give me that little extra relief on the kneecaps. If not then I'll just have to live with the ...

Re: Thoughts on females in the infantry.

And for the record I have no problem with females being allowed in other combat arms jobs like armor, artillery, aviation, fighter pilots, ect. The infantry is just a different world.

Re: Thoughts on females in the infantry.

I'm curious on your views on how the MEN change when a female is introduced into the social dynamics of a group like that, any insight on that? Well they would have to completely change the way they talk and act around the people in their unit under threat of punishment under UCMJ. I mean we're tal...

Re: Thoughts on females in the infantry.

I'm almost certain it was the same company. I don't believe any units there are allowed to have the same name. You had it harder back then. The standards have been lowered quite a bit since '95 for everyone.

Re: Thoughts on females in the infantry.

Infantry doesn't spend all day dragging people out of things, and you don't have to be strong to pull a trigger. I was an infantryman for 24 years on active duty, 16 years on jump status. Three of those years I was a Drill Sgt. at Ft. Jackson with 50% females, and three years as the ROTC senior mil...

Knee pain with suit

Hey guys I have a problem I want to remedy. Because of my previous career I have bad knees. I had a BKS suit that was awesome. The only problem was that after about five minutes the pressure on my knee caps was so bad I just could not stand it. I did ride it enough to break it in. Then I bought a Da...

Re: MSR Nov 3rd & 4th Role Call

I think I regressed a little yesterday. The last trackday at ECR I was in the zone, graduated to level 2 and pumped up about doing the 1.3. Rode in lvl 1 since I had never done that course. I picked up the lines pretty quick and ended up sitting behind groups of 3-4+ riders. I do not know how I can ...

I signed up for the 4th. Graduated to lvl 2 at ECR last month but signed up for 1 since it's my first time there. I'll get there earlier than 5 minutes before the riders meeting this time so I can find everyone haha. If yall know Tim from Cycle Gear he'll be there with me for his first trackday.

They also have cooling vest 30% off and heat gear 50% off. The cooling vests are the s***. Started wearing one last summer, I swear by them now. The heat out gear would be good to wear under leathers. As of last night there were about 4 wheel chocks left in the Bedford store they probably won't las...
