Re: BMW Demos FPS Hurst 4/13-14
In about a month and a half or 2 months I will be back down and you can take the BMW for a spin and see how it feels without the limits of a demo day if you would like. Its a bit older than the stuff out now but it shouldn't be to far off what the new ones are like.

Re: 520 conversation from 530 on a liter bike
I can see where the S1000 would need a -1/+2, being down on power it could use the help Trying hard to drum up that competition aren't you? :-| Honestly I did that because I figured I don't see the top of the limiter often and even with the -1/+2 I think I can hit it still. Plus when the rider weig...

Ok so I did go to a 520 on my bike. I also went -1 +2. I went with an AFAM rear sprocket and I think the 3D chain.

I forgot to look last night... If I can remember I will take a look at what I have on the bike now. Whatever it is seems to be doing just fine.

Re: 520 conversation from 530 on a liter bike
I honestly have to side with Fixxer. Its not something we are going to notice on the street unless we are actually racing. That said I believe I went to 520 on the BMW but I will have to look to be sure (stupid cold weather state) lol.

That is unless you remove the limiter which can be done in a couple of ways. I have not removed mine so 186 it is.

Re: S1000RR color adjustment
The reason I don't want to go white is that it shows every bit of bug guts and stuff... hard to keep clean. If I went with the hydro dip of CF or even the wrap of CF I would then slowly replace those parts with real CF. Might still happen that way if I go satin black. I will have to think it over so...

S1000RR color adjustment
So I am going to finally paint the white parts of my S1k. The paint has been peeling for a while and I have finally had enough. So I figure that since I am going to paint it I might as well change the color a little. I am debating between a satin black/matte black and CF look. Here are some pictures...

Re: Octane question
The higher compression the vehicle the more likely you could get pre-detonation with lower octane fuel. I am guessing that is what he is talking about but .... if your owners manual says 91 and you haven't done any mods then 91 should be just fine. I of course would run 93 just because its what I us...
