New Sena Bluetooth set up

Post by Polokid69 » Mon Jul 16, 2012 9:12 am

Got my new Sena BT system installed. Figured out how to listen to music and accept calls. Just need to figure out how to set up the voice controls. Does kind of seem like the volume could be louder, maybe repositioning the speakers in the helmet, any ideas guys ?

A lot of us have been talking about getting the Sena BT. Did you get the smh-10? It should be the loudest on the market, i've only heard that it is very loud.

I have an SMH-10 and it's great. You may need to play with the speaker position, also make sure the volume on your source device is turned up all the way.

Yeah, this.

What's your source for music? I have an iPhone, and the volume is controlled both by the headset itself and the iPhone (the slider in the music player).

Voice control of the phone just works by pressing the button on the back of the Sena. The iPhone interprets that the same as a double-click on the Home button, so it kicks over to voice control mode.

I have an iPhone 4 but not the "S", will the voice dialing still work ?

Absolutely. Works on all models of iPhone.

Just push the little button on the back of the headset while it's on and paired and it'll go "ding ding". Then just tell it what you want, "Play artist Foo Fighters", "Call John Doe Mobile", whatever.

You don't have a 4S so you don't have to worry about Siri. For anybody doing this with a 4S, I recommend turning off Siri for the times when you don't have an internet connection (i.e. out on rides in the country).

Thanks, I'll try it out when I get home
