Me, Jeff and Chris watched you all ride by as we ate lunch at the subway just up the street from the track. Looked like a good turn-out..The races were cool too a few bad wrecks I think careflight came 3 times but as far as I know no one was super seriously injured. Catch you all on the next ride and glad you all had a good time.

Great ride, Guys, but it's really getting hot out there! Hope everyone made it home OK once we split up. Thanks to all for being patient with Kegan's problem and understanding that we all support and wait for one of our own. Sorry about the gravel road ... guess I've been on too many rides with DS! :-)

If anyone picks up any info on the downed rider on 51, post it up so we all know who it was and where to offer assistance.

MANY thanks to Kelly who dropped everything he was doing on a Sunday to drive 20 minutes into his shop and help a fellow club member! That's what we're all about, Guys ... there for each other when needed. That's what sets us aside from so many of the riding groups around the DFW metroplex. We're a club AND a family ... that's the way it's SUPPOSED to be!!

Big thanks to the ride leaders for hosting the goods today! I had a blast, even tho I had to bail out a bit early. Good to see some old and new faces out there.

Sorry, Sckego, about your smoking bike. Hopefully it will all turn out allright.

Latro.

Good ride today. Sorry about the bike, Kegan... I know how it feels, and it sucks, but you will be back with us!

I was pretty happy to get home, it was a scorcher!

Yep That was me helping the rider out on 51. I appreciate you guys stopping to check.
I think he is a fairly new rider and is a friend of a guy I know.
He broke his collar bone but other wise Ok.
He will be sore for a while.
The bike damage looked to be mostly plastic.
From what he said he got over in the new black tar and then in the turn the back wheel slide out on him and he then stood it up. That sent him for an off road event.
It was down hill but grass and he went for a tumble.
Man the locals were great and even most of the cruiser riders. Stopping offering water and assistance. Great folks.

He will be fine to ride again and now has a little more road education.

51 is a fun road for sure but there can be dangers.

See you guys on a ride some time.
Our group is heading to Arkansas the 21st. Yeah!
I was out at deals gap a month ago and it is a cool road.
Follow the winding road, it will set you free.

What part of Arkansas are you guys heading to. I use to go every year to Eureka Springs. Tons of fun out there for riding.

Arkansas Ride

Post by hawk » Mon Jun 11, 2007 4:20 pm

We are leaving very early morning Thursday 6/21 and returning Sunday.
We are trailering the bikes up and staying in Russellville.
There are a lot of good roads surrounding that area.
At last count there are about 9 of us going.
It should be great and we are going to try to shoot some video if things work out. :-D
Follow the winding road, it will set you free.

A word of warning ... Hawk is FAST! Don't know what they're planning for the Arkansas trip, but talk to him in person before you plan on holding them back for a few days of riding!! :-)
