Man tell me about it! I had one carb to do and it was just a pain! So....along with carb cleaner you soak it in I've also heard pine soil for 3or four days....

Whats your recommendation for carb diaphragm rubbers that have been dry for 20 years and are no longer available new?

If you want to revitalize rubber, get some spray (aerosol) silicone. NOT silicone grease. Just silicone. The brand Solder Seal makes it and it comes in a blue and white can. Spray a little on a rag and wipe it on the rubber.

Never herd of pine oil but it sounds like it would loosen it up. Im doing a little exparament with the needles, jets and float bowls in a crappy pan on the stove with some water. Low heat because i dont want to warp anything. I'll let you know my findings. To that other question, if the diaphrams are not available and the rubber is try rotted you might be SOL. I dont think rubber can be saved after its dry. You can try and soften them up in warm water if they are not cracked. It's a long shot.

shaun mine had a rip in it and I used "Honda bond" on it. That's what the motorcycle community recommended. It adheres well, and flexes. Highly recommend it. It's 20bucks a Bottle , but I have a whole tube. Just let me know if you want to use some. I have pics but will post that when done with my build

Mine arent damaged, they've just lost the flexibility they should have. I'd buy a new set if I could but I may have to adapt a set from another bike

You might try this company. http://jbmindustries.com/Keihin_diaphragm.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Give them a call, might help. Kawasaki does still sell them they are $105.00 each. This might help also http://www.gadgetjq.com/keihin_carb.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
