Hey everyone!
Wanted to get on here and introduce myself. Names Jeff Thompson. Originally from Chicago, been in Dallas now for 3.5 years. Transferred here from beautiful Detroit Michigan.
Been street riding since I was 19. Have had 6 bikes now, and just got back into riding from a 4 year hiatus. Just picked up a new to me 2011 Triumph Daytona Special Edition and I'm looking for a group of guys to go riding with. Google turned up this group.
I was a pretty quick rider, but I don't know how quick I am after a couple of years off. Did a couple of track days with the NESBA organization at Putnam Park in Indiana, and once at Barber Motorsports park. Got conditional approval to bump to their I group, but never went back to get the official sign-off with the lead CR. I like how this group structures their rides based on rider skill/speed. The group I rode with in Southern Illinois was open to everyone, every ride, and it was always a cluster between the guys who wanted to go fast and the guys who were still learning what 6th gear was....
I'm hoping to hook up with some of y'all and get to the track again in the fall.
Looking forward to meeting everyone and getting to see some nice roads around the metroplex. It'll be a couple of weeks before I can get out to meet everyone, as I'm about to embark on some international travel, but expect to see me at some of the June/July rides.
My previous bikes (in order)
98 CBR 900RR
06 FZR 600
02 Daytona 955i
81 CB 900C
02 GSXR 600/750 hybrid Track Bike
11 Daytona 675SE
Cya round
