I just sent an email requesting my spots be sold and my account credited for a future trackday. I don't know what this bug is that I'm fighting but it has been kicking my ass and it is not giving up.

I bet today is decision time for RideSmart. Saturday is currently showing about 40% chance of rain during the day (70% after 5pm), and Sunday about 20% from 11am-2pm, with 60% before and 44% after that window. This could still turn out okay.

My input from Ridesmart says they are staying with the schedule with those numbers. Randy commented TWS had the same kind of forecast and it turned out okay.

It just seems to me that "run-offs" are going to end up with more damaging results due to the soggy ground, even if the track stays dry enough to run faster paces.

I feel like a bit of a pansy for backing out, but having just healed up both my body and my bike from ECR, another water related incident just doesn't compute well for me.

What forecast are you looking at? For Saturday weather.com shows 80% of rain, scattered thunderstorms in the morning becoming more widespread through out the day with a potential for severe thunderstorms.
Sunday is a little better, still 80% rain and Scattered thunderstorms in the morning then dropping to thunderstorms likely in the afternoon.

Update, seems the hourly forecast and the summary forecast are drastically different from each other. Hourly shows a thunderstorm around 1, but the rest of the day should be decent.

Dang, those are significantly higher percentages that Weatherbug...it's almost a certainty to rain out with your forecast (which it probably was anyway).

Maybe, maybe not. I can't tell you how many times I've seen a very high chance of rain up until the night before, then wake up with just cloudy skies and have a good event. You just never know.

Well since my hotel is non-refundable and I already have the day off...I'm heading up there Friday night. No one says I have to ride on a wet track if it starts really pouring. I'm sure if that happens they will shut the track down for a bit anyway.

I'm in no matter what now, too late to do otherwise. I will ride out to Hico for the steak festival tomorrow and spend Saturday night at my parents in Granbury about 15 min from the track. I might need some help disabling my brake light, as I guess you can't just tape it over.
