Re: 12 v adapter mount
I don't like 12v plugs up front, too bulky, takes up too much room. I kept mine under my see then just ran the USB cable back to under the seat.
Now for radar and GPS I just hard ware back to the battery, tons cleaner.

I like it up front.
I used the clip on bolts for my setup. You may need to bend it so it sits down tight and doesn't obscure your gauges, but that's how I attached my setup.

I have one on the handlebar, but I've got more room. Funny thing is, I never use it. Go figure.

I was looking at that same thing for the VFR since I have a lot of real estate on the VFR bars.

Re: 12 v adapter mount
Or you could just like I did, and just buy a bike with one already built in!! Just make sure it doesn't have a speed governor set to 112mph.
On a more serious note though, you might check around or under the ram air ducts like where the little red light on the right side of your bike is. Any place you can hide it under there? I had an outlet on my Ninja 1000 that I just tucked it down on the back side of the fairings so it was hidden and out of the way and it worked perfect there.
