LOL! Sounds like a plan.
Did you officially retire from 2-wheeled riding? Plans for another bike?

I'll get one eventually, but right now I have 0 free time on weekends so even if I had a bike I wouldn't have any time to ride it. Hopefully this coming season I'll get some weekend time back and can get back into riding.

I'm glad I asked! Great report! You must keep a journal or voice record your thoughts during the trip, right?
Very nice touch at the epilogue.
er....OK back on topic...recent purchase. I ordered some more Butler Motorcycle maps as an early Christmas present to myself.
..hmm how about a future purchase...tried to start my DR today and it's not starting just clicking. Cleaned and tightened everything except the ground
connection on the engine. Jumper-ed the ground connection but still only a couple of turns and clicks. I'm going to try jumper cable tomorrow straight to
the starter from a car battery and I bet it'll spin like a top.
I think I'll be getting a new battery soon. The current one is on a tender with a green light but...no.

Thanks! Yeah, always keep a small journal of my routes, lodging, and anything else that is noteworthy. I've found that writing these ride reports are by far the best way to preserve those memories. Its just awesome to be able to go back to the thread a few years later and relive the entire journey.

I was never a Corvette guy until the C7 (working for GM helps too of course). I love the C7 looks and how it drives. The C6 isn't bad in the appearance side of things and I know they can be tuned to some massive horsepower/performance. The C7 to me is the best of both worlds because you can put it in Eco mode and toodle around at 30MPG or throw it in track mode and eat all those fuel savings...
Nice ride though.

Well my old iPhone 3gs finally died, GPS quit about a year ago, Wi-Fi only worked if you were next to the router, and Tuesday it lost cell service unless your right under a tower. So I just bought an iPhone 6s for Melissa since she's been complaining about hers not working, although I suspect it's largely user error, and I'll take her 5s. To damn much money for what will be used for little more than a basic phone, camera, and word with friends gaming device.

This is all for my SUV, but it is a bike transporter so its kinda bike related. this turned into a longer project than I expected and turned out way better than I hoped...
- engine oil and filter
- rocker cover gaskets
- steering rack bushings
- brake rotors
- brake pads
- brake fluid
- front wheel bearings
- spark plugs
- cabin filter
- bluetooth aux input adaptor (to tap into the cd stacker)
Thanks to some help from Darkshadow for that by the way.
- electric scissor jack
- front struts
- rear shocks
- atf transfer pump
- transmission filter and atf
- lsd oil for front and rear diffs
- atf for transfer case
- airbags for rear suspension
- low pressure regulator, air hose and fittings for custom rear ride height adjuster
- fuel filter
- wiper blades
- new hubcap
- hd tow hitch and locks
- trailer lights adapter and plug
- trailer lights kit
- new 2x8x10s for trailer deck
- wifi obd II plug
FYI, the vehicle is a 1999 Infiniti QX4 with every available option that now looks and runs like a dream despite just clicking over 200,000 miles. Its so much nicer than my old Ranger pickup. I spent 9 hours in it last saturday towing bikes to and around Austin, and I'm looking forward to more trips now.
