Rotory superbike

I'm shocked anyone is wasting any effort on building rotatory motors

Yeah.... What problem are they trying to overcome? Too much power?

Doesn't sound like they are doing too bad on power. They are probably trying to make up lost profit from falling sales in the service department.

Probably the best purpose of a rotary engine I've ever heard of.

Not to totally rag on rotary engines, as they are cool little tools, but the fastest RX-7 I've ever seen had a sweet motor swap..... Dumped the twin turbo'd custom rotary job, for a single turbo'd LS motor.

Rotary engines are actually nice for their size and displacement. You guys already hit the point...700cc engine at 200hp. Most engines hitting 200hp are 1000cc motors. Rotary motors are OK unless you turbo charge them. The bad rep they have gotten the the 3rd gen RX-7s were from people modding the stock setup. They were saying that on those motors even changing the factory intake could detrimentally affect the motor. The wrong "tweaks" were causing problems.
