When I pick it up, it's still in a crate and they have to fix the shifter for me. Every bike ships with a backwards shifter so I won't take delivery until that is corrected.

Not bad compared to other bikes in the same caliber, the other one on my list was the R1, they came off MSRP by $550 and set me up with GP shift at no cost.

It's not the cost of the new bike that has me concerned, it's getting rid of the second one - I technically will have 2 RSV4's for a bit, they are going to buy my old one - at least that is the plan

[Checks calendar, not April 1st.]

Everything I read says that they are fantastic bikes, best in class. You got the extended warranty, right??

Not yet but it's going to get it. The last warranty was a pita but it's doing it's job so I'll do that one again.

You and me both man, you and me both....

Darc you need a bike, I'll make you a deal on a hell of a '14. Like seriously, fully repaired and still under warranty.

Rick, when do you expect to take delivery of your new RSV4?

Depends on how things go with the fuel zombies, Saturday hopefully.

You interested in a RSV4? I can hook you up

Before you sign on the line for that extended warranty, read the T&C VERY Carefully. Now that the issues are well known, I'd expect the policy to have significant more weasel-wordage to let them scamper out of fixing things.... It is very common in that industry for changes to be made constantly to that effect.

I haven't been seeing any problems with fuel on the NW side of FW. The price has gone up significantly, but I personally have not been seeing stations without fuel at all. BTW I'll assume you coordinated the pickup with the dealer, as a well known Ape dealer in Austin is not planning on being open on Saturday.

Oh well, guess you have to leave work now, get the trailer and go get the bike. Nothing else to be done about it. Not like it can wait until Tuesday.

Not sure where Melissa was yesterday but she had to wait 45min, and I have seen at least one small station out on 1886 that has no gas.

One Valero in Saginaw, by 820, was out of at least low grade. The other Valero has gas, but the price was up to $2.49. The Exxon station has gas but was charging $2.79. I can wait a day or two for the idiots to stop panicking and prices to come down to normal.

There are still lines at JJ's by my house and Kroger down the street. Buccees had a line down the service road this morning (it was ridiculous). You can't tell stupid that their actions are stupid because stupid thinks they are being smart when in fact they are being stupid. Ugh....
