MSRC June 24th(1.3), 25th(1.7)
I Just happened to check out the Ridesmart.info web page and was a little surprised to see level 1 for the 1.3 filling up. I signed up for 1.3 level 1 and 1.7 level 2. I imagine at this point that the heat will be quite intense, still, I'm looking forward to it.

I'm in for Monday 25th. We picked this date for the Christ Rockets track day, so a lot of people we've been talking to signed up as first timers. I'll see you all there, we'll be camping out the night before!

Alright, checking done, I'm in. Note that it is $50 off if you register for both days at the same time and use the discount code on the RS web site.

Jeff do you plan on doing the Saturday evening setup? I am most likely to do that. Bring that new Indian V twin with you!

Yes, I was planning on it. There is a chance that could change, but right now that is the plan.Tooner wrote:Jeff do you plan on doing the Saturday evening setup? I am most likely to do that. Bring that new Indian V twin with you!
I think that it would be a boat load of fun on the 1.3, at least once anyway. It probably doesn't turn all that great in high traction environments but that torque, driving out of the uphill hairpin...

We're near the entrance behind this trailer. I'm in the small tent, next to the huge tent. Sent you a PM with my cell, Shane!

A little on the warm side, but I can say that RS10’s are the best dry track tire I have ran on the track. I remain concerned on my daily commute regarding rain/wet traction. I have never ran Pirelli, Metzeler or slicks. If COTA were not the same price as a car payment I would be totally in for that, but otherwise track days are setting down on the fun scale for me. Not that I am “fast” but I am probably nearing my best without ramping up the risk. Still feeling my last dirt bike dismount I am highly motivated to avoid future pain

It may be time for you to invest in some tire mounting tools so you can switch back and forth. Or just get a track bike (again).Tooner wrote: I can say that RS10’s are the best dry track tire I have ran on the track. I remain concerned on my daily commute regarding rain/wet traction.

. I have looked at some tire changers, but the price tag keeps me going back to the tire irons and table that I have. Jacob loves the R6and won’t be parting with it, but I did drop by Freedom Powersports and looked at R1, GSXR, and an S1000 thinking about a new commuter. Two of them came with.....RS10’s...... Any thoughts on your new bike???JeffStrom wrote:It may be time for you to invest in some tire mounting tools so you can switch back and forth. Maybe just an extra set of wheels?Tooner wrote:I have looked at some tire changers, but the price tag keeps me going back to the tire irons and table that I have. I had a brief exchange with Seth about bikes since he had the same issue. I think I'm going to keep the Street Triple, it's just so much fun. I am now looking at how to fit a track bike in the garage without it becoming so full of bikes you can't get the bikes out because of all the bikes. (Like Rick's). And I still need a place to work on the bikes.
The current options are:
1. Build a shed in the back yard
There is no flat spot, so I'd have to make one and take drainage into account, and with the draconian HoA, it is possibly more complicated than it sounds. I'd also want to run power out to it. Getting to the back yard isn't the easiest thing with a bike. I'd also have to improve the path from the driveway around back.
2. Install wood-look porcelain tile in the living room and french doors to the front porch
This will also requires landscape mods to make a suitable path from the driveway, which would theoretically require HoA approval. But this makes it easier to work on bikes in an air conditioned environment.
3. Replace the Avalanche with a Van and leave one of the bikes in the van
This could have other benefits including being more camping friendly, but I don't think I'd like leaving the bike in there all the time.
4. Buy a new house
This is, I believe, Sarena's preferred option. Unfortunately interest rates are going up.

Good to see your priorities are in order. Sometimes the only option is to move or get a new vehicle to secure room for storage and transport of motorcycles. I just got a new place with a 3rd car(motorcycle) bay and a Kendon trailer.
