Colorado Trip
Not sure if anyone is even reading this anymore, but I did a ride to Colorado a couple weeks ago...
As one might imagine, the first day was pretty flat... But I did get a chance to have some authentic German food... And eventually got to see some mountains...

Found this waterfall in a short slot canyon...
Here we are, Pismo Beach, and all the clams we can eat...
As I started gaining altitude, I was seeing snow at the peaks and even at one of passes I went through. No accumulation to speak of though.

Saw these guys guarding the road at one point. Saw the rest of the herd, just over the drop, but didn't want to stop as they were very close to the road.
Window rock over a freshly groomed road.
Continental divide, there were a few flurries here before I left.

Re: Colorado Trip
Lastly... For music nerds only, I suppose... On my way up, I stopped in Clovis, NM at the Norman Petty recording studio. This is where Buddy Holly recorded, I think, 5 of his hit songs, and they had one or two hits recorded by others such as Roy Orbison. I was just going to stop and take a pic of the bike in front, but a woman poked her head out and asked if I'd like to look around. I stayed there for about an hour talking her and the owner about the equipment and the history of the studio. It was all single track equipment, and they had a bunch of old analog work arounds for things we would take for granted today. Such as reverb, compression, and vibrato. They had an old Baldwin piano, which was used on all the recordings made at the studio that used a piano. It was pretty close to being in tune and they let me play it (such as I could). They also had an Hammond B3 tone wheel organ from the late 1950s with two Leslie speakers.

You ever head up the Utah way I can point you to some good areas
Between getting around and gathering waypoints I'm getting this state figured out.
