FYI, AMA does not run at Watkins Glen and looking it it, it doesn't look very biker friendly. Lots of walls and gaurd rails. Indy would be sweet but Indy only runs the 3 races, the rest of the year the track is shut down. Mid-Ohio could be an option but it's pushing the limit for distance to drive for a weekend event.

There really aren't a whole lot of options within a day's drive of here... most of the really nice tracks are on the coasts. Within a day's drive we've got Phoenix, High Plains (CO) plus a handful of others in CO, Hallet (OK), Heartland Park (KS), Mid-America (IA) Memphis, Barber, Road Atlanta if you're really stretching the distance...

I'd really like to try Road Atlanta, but you drive right by Barber to get there. Mid-America also looks really fun, but it's pretty far as well.

And I aim to find out just how fast it is too!!!! Safely obviously and going to make sure I don't miss my braking point, but before that, I got a feeling I'm going to get some speed going for sure

One good thing, if you do blow your braking point, you can just run on around the oval. ha!

thanks for all the congrats! I'm looking at the turn by turn guide for the track, and a map......oh it looks like that straight is at least 2000-2200ft long and some nice turns to go along with it....this should be an awesome track!!!

There's a group of us planning to go the weekend of the 25th and 26th.....I haven't decided which day I'm going to sign up for just yet, but it's going to be one of those since we're planning on making it a weekend....there's a thread in this forum started by Sckego regarding the trip
