I prefer an actual rear spool stand, like a Pit Bull or similar. They get your wheel off the ground so you can lube your chain, but they also keep the bike stable while you're working on it, or practicing your body position.

Re: Rollastand
Never had one but looks like it would be pretty simple to use. You'd be limited to pretty much only being able to clean the wheel and lube the chain though. It'd be worth it to spend the little extra and get a true rear stand to get the wheel up in the air. You can then adjust your chain, take the tire off, work on the suspension, etc.

Re: Rollastand
Consider a front wheel chock? you could just roll into the chock then lift the bike with the rear stand by yourself without fear of it falling over.

Although at home I've just given up and hold the bike upright with one hand while lifting with the other. It's a little risky, but so far I haven't dropped the bike.

I do the same thing as Dave. Good thing I decided to ride light sport bikes instead of heavy cruisers!!
Re: Rollastand
I usually balance with my left hand, get the stand under the spools then git-r-done
Other times I use child labor or track bitch when available

Re: Rollastand
With cruisers you use a jack with a flat area that goes underneath the bike. It picks up the entire bike at once. Much easier than the front and rear stands sportbikes need.Blizzard_1708 wrote:I do the same thing as Dave. Good thing I decided to ride light sport bikes instead of heavy cruisers!!
