Re: ECR - March
I am sure that Striple was showing 84 where the line was. 84 was asking the right questions from the right people on Sunday so I am assuming he was asking the right questions and Striple was taking time to show him things that might need some attention. Or Striple was in the wrong group by accident and Stardog took offense and was lining him up for a future kill shot. I am hoping it was the first scenario, I like to think that is what seasoned FWMR track riders would do for the new track riders.
Re: ECR - March
Yep, I've dropped down to L1 to show folks a few things, and once I get back on the track again I'd be happy to show some folks anything they'd like me to show them. Except my junk.

Re: ECR - March
I am glad that we have people to go to trackdays with, as well as, people who like to be our track bitches. We won't really have to worry about our bikes or belongings while there is a watch dog around I hope the guy whose bike was stolen, gets the money from the insurance company (because he probaby doesn't want that bike back...seeing as how it was/is probably ragged out) so he can purchase a new/used bike. I still can't believe that happened. I think everyone just leaves their stuff laying around thinking it is safe because we are all out there to ride!!! I still can't believe that happened. I hope the catch the basTARD who did that!!!

Re: ECR - March
Striple was helping me with lines among other things. It is a lot of fun and very educational following someone when you have absolute trust in their lines and know that they want to see you succeed and have no interest in trying to show off or anything. The RS instructors only have so much time to spend with each student. The time that they do spend with you is absolutely invaluable but a full session following someone like Striple is a thing that I just can't pass up.
I have to again thank all of the FWMR members and one FWMR meatball who helped to make the weekend so great. You guys made it so that the only stress that I dealt with was the good kind. I couldn't ask for a better bunch of track buds.

Re: ECR - March
S84 was really doing well out there! I wish that I would have been that good on my third track day!
I had a blast overall. Good peeps, good weather, and a good bike! My knee injury didn't bother me too much, although I definitely was mindful of that and took it easy. Skipping Sunday was probably also a smart move, even though it was the first thing I thought about when I woke up that morning. Thursday I'm off to TWS for the CMRA event, with race practice scheduled for Friday, Saturday I'm just going to spectate, and Sunday race the SV in the sprints. Should be a good weekend all around!
By the way -- S84, Fish, and Telomere, if any of you guys want a little bit of help on the track, I'm always willing to skip a session to work with you guys. I really enjoy helping friends whenever I can. You guys rock!

Ooo I see how it is Striple... No help for me ehh? It was a whole lot of fun y'all. I hope to hit a few more this year than last. I love having friends out there.
I wonder ... If I was to shoot someone at the track that was in the process of stealing my bike would I still be in the clear legally? I mean it is still protecting my property.

Demon I followed you for about 4laps before I got pushed out by an inside pass. Then it was on like donkey kong trying to catch the guy. Sorry about that, but from what I saw you looked so much smoother than the last time I saw you. You kind of have to be with that much power

Check out this level 1 rider! Don't know who it is but I think he/she is at the limits of the bike on this turn.

Yeah, that's that guy we were watching at the wall, he's way too fast for Level 1, he was passing folks in the 2nd session in the corners, etc.

Great style, good lean angle. This rider knows what he's doing.DemonDuck wrote:Check out this level 1 rider! Don't know who it is but I think he/she is at the limits of the bike on this turn.

The weight of that bike would be an asset at ECR. Pushing a street VFR hard at the track can be tricky though. I felt my 800 twisting and tying itself in knots when I started to push it hard.

I watched him do several CLOSE inside passes, one time there wasn't enough room and he did it anyway, clipped the curb and damn near ate it. He would have take out the rider he was passing. I took pictures and went to Randy about him.

Re: ECR - March
The person on the VFR Honda was the topic of radio chatter between corner workers and the track marshal. this person was turning 2:20 lap times Saturday afternoon. The rider was supposed to have been evaluated by an instructor that afternoon for level 2. The 2nd to last session of the level 1 he ran off in trurn 6 and put the bike down in the grass. The rider returned to the track and came out again for the last level 1 session and the lap times were closer to 2:40.
