Well, haven't heard from any of the usual riders looking for moderate tomorrow on the way to the track. Who's leaving from Sonic besides DS and me?

I'll come out for the ride. Getting on the track depends on the situation, I guess... like someone said, if its just gonna be an unorganized free-for-all, I'll probably just watch. We'll see. Got a free day tomorrow, so I might as well do something. See you guys at sonic.

I'll probably meet you there. Seeing as I'm the only one in the moderate category.
As for riding the track, only if they let me ride with my training wheels!

Man, that does SUCK! I know you were really looking forward to it. Have STB haul your bike up there and maybe you can sneak out and join us.

DS, What time you want to head out from the Sonic? 10 or 11? My home phone is out (guess I should pay the bill every now and then), so use the cell if you need to call. I'm good to go at either time.

I planned to leave Sonic at 11:00, that should give us more then enough time for a decient ride and get to the track early enough.

get off Church at noon, so I'll go straight to the track and meet y'all there,
I'll decide if Traci is going to run laps until I see what it is all about.

Sunday's ride up to and onto the Eagles Canyon track will be an INTERMEDIATE ride. If you were planning on going and are not ready for that pace, you probably shouldn't be ON the track for that particular outing. This is not a RideSmart track day ... it's an open event that may be somewhat less than well organized.

Had a good time at the track, guys. I followed Matt and Jeff each at one point today .... DAAAYYYYUUUMMM! Terry was out there, but I never got near him on the track ... he must have been behind (or lapping :D ) me. The track is really technical, but quite a bit different than MSR. I can see where knowing that track is going to be a BIG advantage to racers. If you haven't been on it, be ready to have your heart in your throat as you can't see hardly ANY of the corners coming up ... you have to know where they are, which way they turn and how sharp.

The good news is that NOBODY crashed out there by the time I left. There was one more session of 5 laps left, but this old man was worn out. I'm sure there will be plenty of stories to be told in next few days.

For those that are wondering, there's NO WAY I can do the RR justice on a track. :( The bike is awesome and I doubt that I'll ever get good enough to really experience what it's capable of. Tell you what though ... The Bitch will SCOOT!

Great ride, it really wasn't an April fools joke. We did get free track time, and I actually made it to the track this time with an intact radiator.

Track is defently interesting. Only one really blind turn, the others you can easily see through them, it's seeing the entrance to that that's blind. Several turns just past the crest of a hill, you defently will need to know your brake points cause if you wait till you see the turn you're SOL. I had a great time, can't wait till they truelly get the track finished and we get another chance to ride out there.

Glad to hear you guys got on the track and had a good time today. What time did you end up getting to ride, and for how long? I split at about 2:30... hope I didn't miss it by 15 minutes or something >< Ah well, maybe some other time. Had a fun ride out, at least. See you guys next time.

they got on the track between 2:30 and 3:00, so you did leave just minutes too soon!
