Stresses me out
The world needs Miles
Sometimes you gotta draw the line, but that doesn't mean it can't be squiggly-miles

It's just another Texas track that supports the statement "If you can go fast in Texas you can go fast anywhere."

Well crap with the scare I'm going down to lvl 2. I think this will let me focus more on my braking/corner entry speed and lines(or what is left of those lines after I go around the puddles)

Is there a rule that you can't do that in level 3?milesmiles wrote:Well crap with the scare I'm going down to lvl 2. I think this will let me focus more on my braking/corner entry speed and lines(or what is left of those lines after I go around the puddles)

Re: ECR July 20 & 21
I believe theres an expectation that level 3 riders will be able to maintain their pace despite the obstacles. I feel confident in saying there will be several crashes in Level 3 in the first session. I wouldnt want to be one of them, especially if I've paid for both days. There seems to be more ego in L3, greater pressure to go fast and less emphasis on riding in an intelligent manner. The majority also have dedicated track bikes and race glass and leathers that have been crashed multiple times. Someone like that isnt too bummed about crashing. Someone with a street bike and an undamaged suit would feel differently.fixxervi6 wrote:Is there a rule that you can't do that in level 3?milesmiles wrote:Well crap with the scare I'm going down to lvl 2. Theres nothing wrong with starting out in Level 2 and having an instructor move you into L3 later in the day if conditions are conducive to it.

Hell... Remember back in 2009 when the weather rolled through the area that collapsed the Cowboys training facility in valley ranch? I was at Ecr that day and gad a blast on my zx10

Re: ECR July 20 & 21
If you did that nowadays, you'd likely be paying for it. The last time we raced at ECR (in April), the track wasn't even opened until around noon on the practice day before the races, with all of the problems coming from the rains of several earlier. Not fun.DLSGAP wrote:Hell... Remember back in 2009 when the weather rolled through the area that collapsed the Cowboys training facility in valley ranch?
