I would love to go on this ride but I'm going to the hill country to ride the twin sisters on Nov. 1,2,3 with another group of riders. Maybe next time!
Anything below 90 is too slow -100 is just right -anything above 105 is icing on the cake!

Yea I'm having a hard time finding a date to stick this ride, October is a pretty full month for me already.

I need to figure out how to make this ride, way busy at work through the 13th (big corporate visit). Dang, sounds like my kind of ride though.

Looks like good weather for Saturday. High of 70 and no chance of rain.

Ordered tires and a battery. Should have bike good to go on Friday, do a little bit of running around so that I trust it and if everything checks out I should do my first real riding of it on Saturday. 500 miles of it. :D

Depends on how bad you want to rag out the motor.

Hmm..ok. Will jeans suffice? I won't be getting real riding pants and boots until probably sometime in November as an early Xmas present.

You ride at your own risk, if are ok with ragging out your motor (aka holding it at max output in the red for an extended length of time) and are willing to risk skin grafts then it's up to you :))

Not trying to be a dick, but jeans imo are inadequate for just about any kind of riding, if you were to eat it at intermediate speed in jeans, that will be an ambulance ride under good conditions. I've seen people eat it in jeans and walk away with nothing, I've seen others eat it in jeans and end up with scars, roll your dice.

I don't recommend jeans, even armored mesh at intermediate speeds is sketchy imo, but as I said you ride at your own risk.

I've never tried to bundle up wearing the 1pc suit. There really isn't any room under there. Looks like I'm going to have to get creative.

I ate it in jeans and overpants. Still lost about 4 square inches of skin on my knee. The overpants looked like they had been hit by 2 boxes of bird shot but saved my ass. If I had been in jeans only it would have been much more memorable.

Miles - I think I am just going to wear a jacket over my leathers and hope for the best. Guess I had better get that tail bag fitted to the new bike.

That's what I would usually do. A light jacket that can stop the wind is all you really need.

Stopping the wind while wearing the leather suit is exactly why I purchased the Triumph rain suit. It will fit over my gear, then peel it off and stow in my backpack, or strap on the big tank bag.

Alright, :/ I'll just hold off on the intermediate rides until I upgrade bikes which will be sometime between now and February.

You'd be better off investing in gear first imo, nothing is going to protect you like leathers.

The 250 is wonderful on the track, and no one gets left behind on any ride

Yep I second that. Gear first then bigger bike.

Agreed. I have never found myself regretting a gear upgrade.
