Doesn't look like the rain is going to make it this far east. I was hoping we would get some rain.

We are set up under the covered area. If your looking at it we are on the right hand side. The FWMR banners are flying so it should be easy to find. I should be over there in the morning around 6.

I have Matts little adventure on video, and today I went down the main straight slowly between sessions and got video of the tire tracks. They tell quite a story. I'll upload everything in the next few days.

I wish everyone's day went as well as mine, I had a great track day back after more than a year off.
Capture.JPG
I purposefully didn't push it, I rarely shifted and I coasted quite a bit, and I never punched it in the straights (don't want to be "that" guy).

I hurt between my shoulder blades and I have bruises inside my legs (I have to learn to sit different on this beast vs the GSXR) otherwise I faired quite well from the track day.

I have video coming, but between not charging my go pro and forgetting to hit stop on my lap timer some of my data is impossible to match up with video.

Did you only run 9 laps, or is that just the best session of the day?

10 for that session (takes 1 lap to get the time going) I don't always stage up when they tell me too and some sessions got flagged.

Rick and I both ran off the track in ricochet but neither of us went down. It turns out I got video of my run off. In the video it doesn't look like I'm as close to the guy in front of me as I thought, but it sure felt close at the time.

If its go pro that's why, I was right up peoples asses on the track butnrhe angle of the go pro lense makes it look further away

Some learning's for me:

I can't sit on the RSV4 like the GSXR, I have bruises on the insides of my thy's so I need to change that up.
It takes a lap for the GPS lap timer to settle in on accuracy especially after I've been sitting under the covering.
The RSV4 is stupid powerful and loves to wheelie (damn gopro died so no video)
The RSV4 is very very stable under heavy braking compared to the GSXR's I've been on.
I purposefully did not push it (my neck is not fused yet, yea that scares me), I didn't flog it in the straights and I let people around on purpose, I don't want to be "that" guy - to compare I have hit 130mph in the straights on the GSXR 750 and my average top speed on the RSV4 for the day was around 110mph.
The RSV4 flicks back and forth easily compared to the GSXR 750 - I put knee down through rattle snake a few times and I've never done that on the GSXR.
The RSV4 is powerful enough to spin up the rear - and it did, that was a new experience.
My neck didn't hold me back as much as I thought it would, I know the track well enough that even tho I can't look up the hill at wagon wheel I can see on the pavement where I need to be/go.
I had minor tingling in my fingers and pain between my shoulder blades after the track day, not nearly as bad as a few hundred miles on the street so my assumption is the bumps are what is getting me.
I have a lot more clearance on the RSV4, on the GSXR when I was at max lean my boot would barely skim the ground with my peg right there so I had to be very mindful of my inside foot, on the RSV4 with the tire all the way to the edge I had plenty of ground clearance.
I was purposefully non-aggressive about passing

Here is the very first session of the day, my first "track day" on the RSV4 with brand new tires fresh off the changer:

(unfortunately I only have telemetry data for the slowest session of the day, but whatever there it is)

Sorry I mis-read your question the first time, I ran every session that day but one, my first laps were in the 1:38 - 1:50 range or something like that (its in the video) and I just got faster from there, between the track coming in and me getting my head back in the game 1:33 was my fastest lap of the day. My "personal best" is somewhere around 1:27 so I'm very pleased with 1:33.

I forgot to charge my camera and hit stop on my lap timer several times so I have "gobs" of data with some lap times pushing an hour and then things got odd... note to self must start/stop lap time and charge camera between sessions.

The RSVR (both 2014 and 2015) have been labeled as possibly the bike easiest and most comfortable to ride a extreme lean angles, so this and some of your other comments make sense. :track:

I'll bet this has a lot to do with you moving around more (both head, neck and body) on the track, versus a tendency to stay in one position longer on the street. But hey, this works out good for you...RSV4 for a track bike, GSA for a street bike. :-D

I did the same thing. Kept forgetting to turn the camera on or off, but at least I got some vids this time around rather than none like last time. I just now need a decent cheap (free) movie editor.

Heres a video from my last session of the weekend. I caught Pat and Tony and there's one funny moment with Pat that begins at 2:45 and gets funnier shortly afterward.

LoL yes Nitzer...
At 2:49 I passed Pat on the inside, preparing to make a run on Tony, but Pat said 'hell no' and charged me. I saw him coming so backed off rather than cause an issue...
A moment later I saw a slower rider and knew I'd be able to use him to block Pat.
If Pat had a Sena he'd have heard me laughing hysterically as soon as I saw the other bike!
