What good that does I don't know. 75% of the people I pass on the road (yes, I pass them all) are texting regardless of whether it's legal or not, no matter where I go.

For the record, I NEVER text and drive...and I don't run stopsigns. I may not observe those little square signs with limit numbers on them, but I do play by the rules on those two things.

Just requires cops to spend more time enforcing traffic laws and less time investigating violent crime. Oh, let's add 20 cops to enforce this no texting law, but let's not spend any time researching the hundreds of rapes, assults, thousands of thefts, etc, that took place.

New laws are useless anyway. We already have plenty of traffic laws that are directly related. Instead of making new laws just enforce the ones we have.... and remove all the crap laws to make it more clear.
