What's your next bike?

Post by Striple » Sun Mar 01, 2015 11:28 pm

Alright, ladies. Its never too early to start planning for your next ride. There is always room for one more in the garage, so what is it going to be, and why?

I'm dying for an adventure bike, and my mind is pretty much set on a DR650. I almost bought one in 2013, but it had already sold, and then I got side-tracked with other stuff. This year or next, that shall be remedied. :D

Note to self...get a DR650 on the Striple-Only Parts & Accessory site, he's about ready to purchase. Rhino, since your Sales / Marketing, and I'm the face of the company (no smart-ass comments needed), I guess we're going to have to hire someone for Procurement...I underestimated how much stuff Striple actually buys. :-)

I'm gonna go with BMW S 1000 R http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com/us/en/ind ... rview.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It kicked the crap out of the other hyper-naked bikes, so what's not to like. For street riding, it's fast, powerful, comfortable, reasonably priced, good technology, and fast.

Crap, I'm so sorry...you said ladies. Miles, Rhino, Jim, Heath & Jon...I guess this was for you. :SideSplittingLaughter:

Well then....

Speaking of adventure bikes Striple, i HIGHLY regret selling that MZ660. It's basically a drz, but with MUCH finer components & a proven bullet proof motor. That's back on my list now hahah.

Right now i'm still eye ballin the husky 510. I wanted something i could take to the track & also take on the street and act a bit of a fool. I'm just worried if i will like the riding style. It fits the bill of everything i want in a supermoto. Other contenders are the ktm 450smr.

That's likely to be my next ride also.

With the big ol' brassy pair that Striple somehow stuffs in his leathers, he has the right to call everybody ladies. By "ladies" he means "Everyone but Chuck Norris".

My next bike would be the one I graduate to after my 636. It will either be a zx10r, gsxr 1000, or if I can scrape up the money a rsv4. Most likely the zx10r.

Technically I didn't call anyone "ladies", I just helped clarify what he obviously meant. :D

Yes, a couple of versions of the 675 would be on the short list, along with the R1, which has always been a fave. Especially the new one. I'm just not sure I'm into torturing my body like that on the street any longer.

That would be KTM RC390, CBR500RA, or Yamaha R3. I'm almost over the 250.

A hooligan bike. KTM 660SMC or something similar just to tool around town on, and be a complete fool on.

You may have seen it, but in a recent bike mag I have, the R-nine-T finished second to the Moto Guzzi Griso. I like the looks of both very much, they're unique, and would have been a paycheck the BMW would have won the comparison.
