No worries. I'm with you on being a bourbon fan. Good Scotch is always described as "peaty" and "earthy". Basically it's designed to taste like shitty dirt.

Took a tour of the Woodford Reserve distillery a few years ago. It was a treat, to say the least, as is their product.

I've been lucky enough to try some extremely high end bourbons and some very rare ones as well. I actually look for that stuff and jump at a chance to taste one that i haven't had. Current favorite(one that is gone..when it's gone): Orphan barrel - Barterhouse

So as many of you may know i'm a huge bourbon fan. I don't get hung up on weather you like it neat, on the rocks, one cube or two or a splash of water. I've found that each bourbon calls for it's own and some need a little help to open them up. Generally i always start off one i haven't tried neat. Best all around bourbon for price point & taste? Eagle Rare...give it a shot(by that i mean sip)

I've read very very few articles written for companies like business inside trader, that had much if any truth in them. This article is about the same... Blantons is on my number 2 bourbon! Glad to see eagle rare in there, but it's written with the less than average bourbon consumer in mind so they have to throw in names that everyone will know in there. If i ever hear that your think Jack Daniels makes great whiskey, i know you don't drink much...but it is pretty good with coke. I admit i'm slightly snobbish when it comes to whiskey, but i also believe everyone has their own taste..some better than others

Well, was it not reporting the results of the International Wine & Spirit Competition?

In the "Whiskey - USA" category at last month's International Wine and Spirit Competition, great bottles of bourbon won a "Gold," but the very best took home a "Gold Outstanding" for setting the industry standard for excellence.
