Weedeater

Post by Polokid69 » Tue Apr 21, 2015 12:48 pm

Just found out I have to take care of my yard myself. Never heard of of a tenant of a garage apartment having to maintain a yard. Anyway , anyone have a weedeater I can borrow?

Wait?, you have lived there for awhile and you're just now finding this out? Also, grab your contract, if it's not in the contract, tell them to screw off.

I got one you can borrow. I've got dinner plans with the Fam, so I won't be around this evening, but we can work something out for you to get it this week.

Yea man, it REALLY sounds like they are trying to take advantage of you. "maybe we can get him to do the lawn!". I wouldn't stand for that. Check your contract since this is the first that you have heard of it. If it's not in there i'd politely tell them that you were not made aware of this when you moved in, nor does it state it in the contract. Along with this always comes the chance of trouble with them wanting you out if you are right, but screw them. That's just a battle i would fight, but you choose your own, don't listen to me.

You do the lawn once & you'll be doing it the rest of the time you live there, thus paying more for rent.

I see it differently. It's not a big deal, but i'm not going to have someone try to pull that shit on me.

Do they want you to do the entire yard or just the part near your apartment? They should also be providing you the equipment to use unless the contract also says you must provide the equipment.

I'm going on the assumption, since it wasn't stated at the beginning, that it is not in the contract whatsoever. That would be like my place telling me i had to mow & weed the lawn in front of my place lololzzWTF

just throw on some gasoline and light a match. When they ask what the hell you are doing, tell them you are fertilizing :)

The city won't care. If it is not maintained, the person residing in the residence is the one that will be fined. Even if the owners are responsible.

Just the back area but the back is actually bigger than the front. Problem is its rocks under the wears so a mower may sling rocks thru windows , into cars, etc so weed eating seems only method that is viable

Spray gasoline on it. Maybe oil if the gas doesn't kill it.

Or, get a goat, BBQ him, invite your friends with weedeaters over for lunch.
