"The Search for Freedom" presentation

Post by LonestarCBR » Thu May 14, 2015 5:52 am

In May 2003, Simon and Lisa Thomas left their quite lives in the UK and set out on two BMW motorcycles to journey around the globe. Their aim was to circumnavigate the planet, ride on all seven continents, and raise money for 3 charities fulfill a lifelong dream.
Eleven years later and they haven't stopped riding!
This husband and wife team have traveled over 368,000-miles (equivalent 14+ times around the earth) ridden through 78 countries, and traveled to the most northerly and southerly points on earth possible by motorcycle.
As motorcycle adventurers Simon & Lisa are known for pushing the boundaries and have forged several route-first's. Lisa is considered the world's foremost female motorcycling adventurer, having ridden longer and farther than any other female motorcyclist in history. Lisa was the first female motorcyclist to ride through the Amazon jungle north to south. In 2008, the 2 Ride The World duo were named as BMW Brand Ambassadors.
Meet them and hear all about their adventures May 21st at 7:30 PM at the South Fork Hotel in Plano. Seating is limited; you must stop by BMW Motorcycles of North Dallas to get your tickets starting Saturday April 11, 2015

Wow, that's so fascinating! In another life I'd have loved to do and experiences those adventures! BMW is giving the tickets away at no charge. I'm sure there'll be opportunities to purchase stuff or help support the duo. I don't know if I could get my kiddo to sit through it ;) Is anyone else going?
