Memo to me!
Memo to me!
Dang, now I know that when one changes to aftermarket shorty levers to watch for brake drag. Front brakes locked solid this am on 287 on my way to work!!! Pucker factor 9.9.

I don't care for shorty levers
I agree, talking to a guy here at work this am,he had the same thing happen to him the first day with new shorty levers and he went over the handlebars. It all happened to fast I don't know how I didn't. All that immediately followed by the realization that I was still 3 feet from the left emergency lane and cars inbound at 0500! I didn't know I could pull that bike sideways like it were a dirt bike, just glad I was able to get all the way into the emergency lane before any cars came by.

Re: Memo to me!
Not sure how shorty's would cause a front wheel lock up themselves without some kind of an installation hickup, I just don't like the fact your limited on your hand placement if you wish to reach the levers. I tend to use the entire bar and no matter where I put my hand I can get the levers.

Ya I'm still a little skeptical, all I know so far is the peeps on the cbr1000 forum acted like that was a common problem with some shorty levers.
