I'm going with my friend from high school, who is shopping. And my sister's BF who has a 86 Nighthawk and a brand new GS BMW. We will probably go Saturday.

Unfortunately the weather looks like crap this weekend. The free MC parking is nice.

There were a few Hondas there from a Dealer in Dallas but no official Honda display nor KTM. Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha all had nice displays. Yamaha has a FJR Police bike now, maybe not something new but it was new to me. Twisted Throttle was there but somewhat scaled back from previous years.
I was disappointed by Progressive's participation. Printed out the email they sent me and took it with me thinking I could get a discount at the gate but no, only available online. Supposedly a $4.00 discount but since it's only online it's a $3 discount because of the $1 service fee. I got a free hat out of the deal, so I can advertise Progressive for them for free, I think it will be my under the car oil change/sweaty day hat. Had some free time so I thought I'd get a free cup of coffee from them but I walk over and show them my printed out email (it's supposed to show them I'm a customer I guess) but they still want me to go through the annoying process of typing in my name, my email, on a pad that a girl is holding for me at an awkward angle and when it gets to my birthday date screen ..I walk away and tell her that I don't need a cup of coffee that bad. I didn't buy any food there, $7 for a bag of pop corn and I think a BBQ sandwich was $12. Pretty sure I'm not going next year.

Had a few interesting things there. It was interesting to see the R9T cafe racer. Cylinders sticking out farther than the handlebars, but it did look cool. Chatted up a pair of OKC motor-cops about the various Cop bikes at the show. The seemed to really like the HD for around town (I don't get it) but they both own Japanese bikes. Overall nothing really special at the show. If you didn't make it you didn't miss much.
