Gsxr best bang for the buck !
Hey guys I have just installed one of the cheapest mods that really woke up my motor .I have the peower programer and it helped my bike a lot , but it allways had a slight hesatation in the throttle when I blipped it an it seemed that it was not as strong as the top and mid range .Come to find out the bike has a timing retarder on it to keep the thing from wheeling up or breaking loose on you in the first 5 gears .Man that sucks those are things I like to do! It wasa breeze to install only 5 min , and what a differance on the power and what a hit .It was like I super tuned the bike .I also forgot to tell you that it elimintes the 185 mph governer too ! It only cost 33 $ shipped to my door in two days ! Read more about it at Danos motorcycle performance .

It's called TRE Timing retarder eliminator

As I shifted into sixth , I couldn't remember a thing she said !!!!!!!!!I just want to ride !!!!
Sounds cool, but I'm concerned about:
"(Note) If this TRE unit is installed on a 2005-06 Suzuki GSXR1000 or a 2006 GSXR750 the gear position indicator on the dash will read 5th gear all the time and the performance gain will be unbelievable."
I like my gear indicator...

Now if you wanna kick some 1000cc butt get out on a technical track. Nothing better then smoking a 1000cc while on a little 600. It's even better when you can pass them in a turn and have enough speed that they aren't even able to catch up in the straight.

Thats what i"m talking about .When I was a young lad racing 80's in motocross 1986-1991 I could easly maneuver my bike and pass a lot of 125's and 250's due to it's nimble size and speed in the corners during an open practice . I like my bike I feel confident with it

The long straights at MSR are about 1/8 mile I think. I know on more then one occasion I passed a litter bike, Terry once, coming around big bend and held them off through rattle snake. I belive Terry passed me back up on the other long straight but I made him work for it.

One of the things that helps you learn to ride, is riding on the track.Blizzard_1708 wrote:I think I need to learn how to ride before getting on the track

Gear indicators is for girls on Vespas...
If you are looking at your gear indicators, please pass me and ride in front of me at our next ride...
I am not too fond of Jap' enemas...
Like I told the last cop when he asked me if I knew how fast me wus' going,
I said "Nope!", now pissed he screamed "you don't monitor your speed?"
I said "Nope!, I LOOK UP Sir, and watch "the road ahead"... (hey that was Bill Gate's book title...)
Anybody monitoring "stuff" while on two wheels makes me nervous, particularly when riding behind me..."
learn your bike, study your noise, that's your monitoring device
Peace

It's not that I need a gear indicator, it's about everything on my bike working and looking good. I'm a bit OCD, so having "5" displayed on my dash all the time instead of the gear I'm in would be annoying.
No, I don't need a gear indicator, and I don't ride staring at it to know what gear I'm in. It's kinda like having an automatic car with a tachometer... is it really needed? Just because you don't use it doesn't mean you want to drive around with the needle stuck at 5,000, right?
