Who's charging?

Post by beercap » Tue Jan 16, 2007 1:21 pm

Anybody else cooooold these days? anybody riding? bikes just sitting discharging?

Got my trickle charges going to keep the batteries from draining, running the engines once a week for about 10 minutes or so to remind myself I used to ride.

What do ya'll do to keep the 12 volts from becoming 0 volts?

Cheers  ,

Haven't given it a thought. Bike hasn't been sitting that long and back in Indiana I left my bike sitting for a couple of months with no problems. I would disconnect the battery though when I knew I wasn't going to be riding for 4 months.

I think you will be ok. Trickle charging is good too.

I try to fire up the bike at least every 2 weeks if I'm not riding, and let it run idle and warm up for about 10 minutes. I haven't had an issue as long as I stick to it.
