Glad you made it out today and got to go out the 'The Gap' ... not the greatest of roads, but it's a fun trip and many from the Metroplex head down there. Hope you had a good time and got home safely.

Split so Striple and Leatherneck each have their own introduction threads
Welcome Leatherneck, glad you made it out to the ride, it was a great ride. I would suggest comming on out to a few more rides and bike nights before asking anyone to sponsor you. Get to know a couple people, and give us a chance to get to know you as well, and then make sure you have the time to commit to getting the meatball requirements done (It doesnt take much, I just hate seeing meatballs with no rides (Ahem, ArmedandInsain, and Spyder!!!!))

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body; but rather to skid in sideways thoroughly used up, totally worn out and yelling at the top of your lungs "Holy Shit...What a ride!"

I think you will really enjoy it here, everyone is helpful and above all they look out for you. Hunting and shooting are two of my favorite hobbies as well, we need to get together to figure out how to carry a rifle on a motorcycle without looking like we are out to get someone!

That is what they make pistols for. I also like to hunt and shoot... we should all get together one day.

Re: Introduction
I would be less worried about how to tote the rifle than the animal that you kill with it, picture this............nice quiet morning pumped from the sweet ride you just had through the twisties to get to your fav hunting spot then.....out of no where a 6 point buck crosses your path at about thirty yards.....BANG! perfact shot right through the top of the sholder and into the heart.......after field dressing him you pull him over to the truck............ummmmm............oh phuck I brought the six hundred ....................ring ring we are sorry but you have no service ......nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sure, you could shoot a 6 point buck, but why waste the tag? Wait for that 10 pointer...
Geeze...

Re: Introduction
ok so I am going to take a guess and say that here in TX you guys count both sides, so that would make the one I was talking about a 12 point buckFirewa11 wrote:Dude, that's like saying... Heh, yes you count both sides no matter where you are, but nice save. Hehe... Getting anything above a 10 pointer in Texas is a bit more tough.
