MSRC - November 6

Post by sckego » Wed Oct 20, 2010 5:34 am

I know Henry and Cindy are already signed up. Anyone else interested? I might wait until later to see if the weather stays nice... don't want to take the risk of it selling out, though. Hrm...

Oh, and there's this happening. Shaweet.

That's pretty cool. I won't be making it though.

Hmmm, I was wanting to fit this in, and now a chance to ride the KTM... I may have to break down and make this trackday. But I'm going to hold up on regestering to see how the weather holds.

If you decide you need someone to work the corner so you can ride let me know. I want to get on the track early next year.

About the weather.... Dave said at the last rider's meeting that these next two track days, the 6th and 30th are guaranteed against rain. He said we could get a credit if it rained.

I just noticed that L1 and L2 for the event have been labeled "limited space" on RS' website. I didn't want to take the chance of it selling out, so I went ahead and registered L2. I have the EZ-up, though if Vic doesn't come along I won't have any way of getting it there. We'll have to figure something out if she doesn't attend...

See you guys there!

Ten day forecast shows rain midweek Tuesday-Thursday at 60%. 70 year storm hits Midwest. Dogs and cats living together. The end is near. Sign up and scrape pucks while you can.

Well I just got a call from The Man (i.e. Dave). Looks like I'll be teaching Level 2 instead of just riding. We've got some new material expanding on previous classes plus I'm working on some completely new info. I just hope the weather is good to us. Considering the last time I was at Cresson it was over 105 degrees before lunch, after which it got REALLY hot, this weekend could be very different.

Oh yeah, it'll be different. Cresson is slick as shit in the morning when it's cold...

Saturday
Sunny
High 66°F
Low 44°F
Precip: 0%

I think I'll be wearing the glowstick until lunchtime...

It's going to be cold. That 66 is the high! Good thing Cindy's new leathers came in today!

If your instructing, does that mean a lvl 2 spot just opened up?

I just called Shaun and left him a message regarding your question, Will... you might want to try giving Dave a call as well.

Sorry Will, going from 'playing' to Instructing doesn't mean I freed up a spot. When I ride instead of instruct its 'off the books'. I usually start late and don't ride all day so I don't take a spot from a paying customer. Its one of the perks of teaching and developing course material for Dave.

And I know from some other friends that there are a number of people on standby hoping for spots to free up. All levels are booked out. Last day of the season for most by the sound of it.
