That is bad ass. I wonder how much shrapnel that bullet can really put in the air, but in any case it's impressive and the same technology could be applied to an RPG or anything else--as I understand it it's just a laser distance finder, a radio-controlled explosive, and a computer in the gun that does the math for you.

Yeah, I've been following the development of this for awhile. It was originally supposed to be fitted with a full weapon system, and would be an add-on similar to the M203 grenade attachment that is fitted on the bottom rail of say an M4, so a soldier on the ground wouldn't have to lug around two weapons.
