Hey new people!

Tell us a little about yourself and say hello to the gang. We would like to hear about who, what, and why you ride as well as how you found us.

Hey new people!

Post by NickS » Wed Jun 22, 2011 6:55 pm

Come to bike night.

Yes, it's a little intimidating.
Then you get there and don't know any one.
Then everyone else seems comfortable but you feel tense.

Then we (and you) drink alcohol.

Then you freak out and do an interpretive dance to "the Wind Beneath My Wings".
....and realize we ALL saw that.

And then we never see you again.

STOP!

Break the cycle of loneliness and come back. Show up for rides. Repeat.

Eventually, you will get everyone's names straight and start really having fun.

WE HAVE ALL BEEN THERE, KEEP SHOWING UP, IT'S OK!

I agree with NickS.

I showed up to bike night one day where I didn't know anybody and met a few people. I wasn't really sure if it was a group I would like, but I showed up for a few more bike nights, then a few rides, then decided to join up. FWMR is an excellent group of people, so come on out and meet us!

I go to bike night and I don't even have a bike. Thank goodness they let me stay. LOL They are all very cool people.
